New York 2017

Well.. it has been a little while.. I was in a bit of a funk and didn't have the motivation to write a single post.

I will force myself to write at least one post per week.. as I have no excuse not too..

To jump back in.. I will tell you all about my short trip to ManhattanNew York back in March (oh my god it’s already June – lol)

The transportation was quite an adventure in itself. I have a huge fear of flying while my mom has a fear of highways and thus did not want me to drive for the whole trip. Solution? We took a coach bus. It was one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life…. crammed in a seat for 11 hours was just horrendous… I have learned my lesson. A flight to New York is literally less than 2 hours.

Another silly thing we did was dress too lightly. We came from Canada and yet we were freezing… we own so many parkas but for some reason we decided to wear light coats.  Next time a weather update will be in check. I don’t know about others but when I’m in discomfort -whether it’s too hot or cold- it takes away from the overall experience.

We stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton Times Square !
It was a great location right beside Times Square. Next time however I think I want to stay in Lower Manhattan. I liked the vibe there.

Overall it was a great time. Lots of interesting people and tons of delicious food. My favorite place was Bea.

View outside of our hotel room.

Our first outing was Central Park (luckily it was fairly warm that day).

Central park. Not that beautiful without those leaves.

It was my moms first time in New York so we went to the main landmarks. We unfortunately did not see Statue of Liberty because it was so cold and windy. We went to the MET, as well as the MoMA. Instead of the empire state building we decided to go to the Rockefeller Centre (Top of the Rock)
