To be honest I had no idea what was being celebrated on this day until I did a little google search. If you want to find out for yourself the History website gives a good explanation ! One fun fact they share is that “Approximately 150 million Valentine’s Day cards are exchanged annually, making Valentine’s Day the second most popular card-sending holiday after Christmas.” In North America over $18 billion is pent for this holiday. CRAZY!

Having been single for a few years this day has not significance to me. BUT chocolate is so cheap the next day !!!! Hooray 🙂

I miss being in elementary school and buying those cute cards with the little animals. I would always give the best cards to my crushes.. I’m thinking I was not the only one who did that.

For all the single ladies out there.. this is the perfect night to spoil each other and remind how much you admire the friendship. Take advantage of those dinner deals at restaurants.

When I was in a relationship buying gifts for any occasion was a nightmare. I love gifting but the gift must be useful and memorable… which makes the selection a little challenging.

ALSO I’ve never talked about sex on my blog but i wanted to make note that expression of love does not require a physical gift. Great opportunity to try something new with your partner behind closed doors. Try some positions you’ve never done before and use those handcuffs you’ve been dying to try haha. FLOWERS

I love flowers. There is nothing more pleasant than a beautiful bouquet of fresh stems. There’s shops in every plaza! Even grocery stores have choices. Not a fan of bouquets? Grab an Orchid, most of the time they come with a cute pot. I’ve seen the prettiest and cheapest Orchids in places like Fortino’s, Longo’s, and Costco. Cacti and succulents are a great idea too. Classes are available where you can make your own arrangements in cool glass containers (date idea).
